The story is about this girl named Becky that wants a bike but her mom won’t buy it but at the end she gets it. Becky is a credible character because of how she acts, feels, and what she says. The first reason why Becky is credible is because she begs her mom for what she wants. As Becky says, “Over and over I told my mom I want a bike. She really wants the bike more that anything so she plead to her mom. This proves how Becky is a credible character because a lot of kids beg their parents for what they want. The other reason why Becky is a believable character because she fights with her friends and get angry with her. Becky thinks to herself, “For the first reason Shirnette and me had a real fight because of what I hated most”. She was at her best friend because Shirnette let a cockroach fly down Becky’s blouse. She is credible because friends frequently fight with each other. Finally Becky is a realistic character because she asks for help to learn a new skill to ride a bike. Becky asks the Wheel and Brake Boy, “Can somebody teach me how to ride a bike?” Becky doesn’t have a bike because in her country girls are not that encouraged to ride them. She wants to be a part of the group, so she asks the boys to teach her a new skill. Becky stands up for what she does just like any kid. In conclusion, Becky is a realistic character because of her action, her emotion, and her words. I know a person in my neighborhood that acts just like her.
